Thirty-One Fundraiser to support the Rafiki Foundation! Thirty-one consultant, Sara Barry, would like to celebrate, encourage, and reward the school-age Sunday school classes by providing a fundraising opportunity. The proceeds of this event will be sent to the Rafiki Foundation, who will receive 20% of the total sales prices! This is a great opportunity to purchase unique gifts or something special for yourself. Sara will take orders and have the products on display after both services on February 5th. You can also vist her website at www.mythirtyone.com/sarabarry to order online (to order online, click on "place an order" and then "shop now" next to Messiah Lutheran Church). Baby Bottle Boomerang: Please take these bottles home and fill them with coins, currency, or a check (made out to HCPCC) and return them to Messiah by February 26th. Baby Bottle Boomerang funds HCPCC, enabling them to help women with crisis pregnancies or related issues by providing Christ-centered education, counseling, and many other support services.

Messiah's Chili Cook-off is coming soon! On Saturday, February 25th at 4:30 p.m. you will have the opportunity to show off your culinary skills at the Van Raub Hall (just up Dietz-Elkhorn Rd). It's a great opportunity for you and your team (spouse, friends, neighbors, etc.) to compete and have a great time with our Messiah family. We are looking for at least 10 teams to sign up to cook chili. Instructions are on the signup in the Narthex. Remember, this is a family event! Come and bring some friends to help us judge!

Help Messiah youth fund their mission trips - Help the environment. You can now recycle all your paper products, including newspapers, magazines, printer paper, (but no cardboard and telephone books), by dropping them in the large yellow and green dumpster at the NE entrance to the parking lot. All money received from recycling will go to our youth and their mission trips. Thank You!

Global Link: Messiah Lutheran Church is linked to Hungary, where Sarah Cusson serves as a GEO missionary. She writes, "At out first meeting of the year, two students attended the weekly Bible study that I am leading. One was a girl who has attended Bible study before, and the other, a girl who is an exchange student from Germany. We talked about how Jesus is the only way to heaven and that there is a higher truth than what we as humans can come up with ourselves. I was thankful for this time with them and pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in them. I've also had many other students ask about this Bible study, so I hope that more will attend and come to know Jesus as their Savior."
