Community Ministries
Reaching out to those around us

Part of our mission is to encourage Christians to obey Christ's command in Matthew 28 "to go and make disciples of all peoples." We want to be a positive impact and a Christian witness to our community. We participate in several community ministries to accomplish this mission.

Food Bank

Members of Messiah collect food for area food banks.

Hill Country Family Services

Volunteers work at this community agency helping with dispersing food and clothing to needy families free of charge.

Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries

Is a non-profit Christian food and resource distribution ministry located in Boerne. They provide local churches with food and basic supplies to be distributed by volunteer teams directly to people in need. We can work behind the scenes in the warehouse or work directly with the families.

Bethesda Thrift Store

Volunteers work at this church agency thrift store in aiding needy families.

Retirement Home Ministry

Sharing Christmas joy by giving gifts to residents in area retirement centers and nursing homes.

Helping Hands

Men from the congregation offer their services to those in the community who need minor home repairs.

Mission Trips

A number of short term mission trips are offered each year. What a great opportunity to share your faith with others! Most trips include a construction project and a Vacation Bible School project.

Missions

Special Sundays are set aside for collections to support specific international missionaries and Bible societies.
