OUR STAFF

Since the growth of our campus, David Rhoads was hired to maintain the grounds. You can always find him walking the property with his planner and keys, making sure our buildings are clean, safe, and running properly. He also works with outside groups who rent our facilities and manages contractors for any large repairs.

David is a lifelong Lutheran, baptized twice, and has been a member of Messiah for many years with his wife and daughter. His 2 brothers, sister-in-law, and nieces still live in his hometown just outside of Philly, whom he visits often.  Jack, his Tibetan Terrier Mix, comes to the office every now and then and is a delightful addition to the office atmosphere.

When David is not managing Messiah’s facilities, he may be woodworking, camping, or traveling. David also happens to be a classic car enthusiast. Or maybe just a car enthusiast in general, seeing as he drives to work in a different car almost every day! Yet even though he has introduced us to his fleet of vehicles, David has yet to show off his impressive collection of PEZ Dispensers.  He has an electric personality, lighting up the room as soon as he walks in. Rumor has it, it may be due to the incident in 1995 when he was shocked by a nearby lightning strike! (No, seriously. Ask him to tell you the story!)
