“Do You Want to Be Healed?”
    Series: Easter 2013
Are you willing to be healed? OF what, you may ask, do I need to be healed from? You may not like the answer...you may think that this could not possibly be the answer...but truly the answer is:  YOURSELF!! In our message today Pastor Aaron delivers a message from the Gospel of John. Jesus finds an invalid by a pool, that by tradition, had healing powers once a year. We find a man that knew the spot to share his story and for 38 years had been pedaling that story to any who would listen and sympathize (with material goods). Jesus, by no work of our own, gives us freely healing through His blood. What happens when your excuses are gone and the Master calls?  Are you willing to be healed?

“Believe and Proclaim: Its Not that Hard.”
    Series: Easter 2013
HE is Risen! HE is Risen, Indeed! Alleluia! We say it so that must mean we believe it...we must easily believe that someone who died, rose from the grave, a full bodily resurrection. That is easy to believe, right? If we believe then why do we often remain locked in our faith, locked in our proclamation of the good news that is meant for ALL people. We invite you to listen the this message prepared by Pastor Aaron and hear the good news and the Peace that has been given us by our Risen Lord, Amen!

    “A Time to Love”
    Series: Lent 2013
We all have close friends, friends that we invite over for dinner, friends that we share our joys and troubles with, and friends who we believe will be there till the end. What if, though, you learned of a plot, a gossip, a whisper amongst your friends that they were envious, jealous, felt betrayed because you had not done something they thought you would do; and as consequence one of them would hand you over to the authorities the next day. The rest would merely show false bravado, but in the end turn, run and deny they know you. You are thinking, no this could not happen to me, my friends and I know intimate details about each other we are blood brothers. Many have thought this in history: Germans hiding Jews or speaking against Das Fuhrer, Russians speaking against the "Dear Leader" or the politburo, Americans hiding runaway slaves...these are all terrible examples of the worst in man's heart and although many of these lost property and their lives, none of them suffered and anguished with foreknowledge of their apprehension. So, what would you do if you knew...distance yourself, get them first, what, if anything, could you do? The answer is quite simple and for us mere mortals darn near impossible....LOVE!  We invite you to listen to the example set by the only One who did, or even could, constantly, truly LOVE, Amen. All glory praise be to Christ our Lord, Savior, and the One we should immolate!

    ” (Un)Finished Business”
    Series: Lent 2013
In tonights message Pastor Aaron reflects on a question that was asked at the beginning of the Lenten season. "What is the cup that Jesus is asking for the Father to remove from him?" Was it the beatings, the mocking, the betrayal, the neglect...or maybe Jesus was just done with it all. Done with the people who mugged him, but were still thinking more about themselves rather than the Father. Could it have been the constant naysaying of the Pharisees and other religious leaders or maybe still it was the fact that the 12 men he had spent three years teaching just did not get it, after all this time! Jesus prayed three more prayers upon the cross: 1) Father, forgive them...for they know not what they do. 2) Father, my God...why have you forsaken me. 3) Into Your hands, I commit my spirit. We invite you to listen to the business that was finished that day and the unfinished business left in our lives and the life of the Church.

    “Alien Righteousness”
    Series: Lent 2013
Pericopes have a great way of keeping us on track and making sure we do not fixate on what comes easy to talk about. The interesting thing about them is the can have a funny quirk, "What's the context?" We read the word "indeed" first and the next thought may be, " Indeed, what?" Indeed, we need to back track and understand the context of what we are reading today. Context has a funny way of defining and clarifying the message. This afternoon, Pastor Aaron shares the context for the answer that was read to us in Scripture (Phi 3:8-14). In the Law we had to obey diligently to belong, a price no human could pay. We may thump our chests about our accomplishments and morals compared to those around us, but St. Paul points out I was the bomb, if anyone had cause to thump it was I. All of this though is worthless for our deeds are but rags. Our stains are burned into us, but Christ has fulfilled the Law for us and healed the wounds. We invite you to listen as we learn of the "Alien Righteousness" that we can claim for our own. We can go to our brethren and openly say, "I am a sinner, like you, and I do not come to condemn, but to offer the righteousness of the One true clean individual. He freely gives, so that we may freely receive The Father's Love and Mercy." Amen!

    “Return to Christ’ Path”
    Series: Lent 2013
In last weeks sermon Pastor Aaron talked about our "Two Most Loyal Companions." and this week he continues along that path using Jeremiah 26:8-15. What if you don't feel in the faith? What if we, the church, are happy walking in the false comfort of Satan's false promises? The prophet Jeremiah was telling the church to repent, confess, and return to Christ. The congregations reaction at that time, "Let's kill him!" Do we find ourselves now comfortable in our sin because on the earthly scale it isn't any one of the "Big Sins"? We have a loving God and Savior who yearns to be our hearts desire. Among our many transgressions, large or small it does not matter, God gives grace and mercy even when we deserve death. We invite you to listen to today's sermon and "Return to Christ' Path." Amen!

    “Alone in a Crowd”
    Series: Lent 2013
In this sermon Pastor Aaron looks at the Gospel lesson and after Jesus healed the leper, others approached to be healed, Jesus faced with much to do....withdrew and Prayed! Martin Luther would pray 3 to 4 hours a day, but when he had even more to do that day he did not pray less, he prayed more. We invite you to listen to his sermon and walk with our Lord Jesus to dark Gethsemane and spend a bitter hour learning to pray as our Savior prays! Father let your name be glorified, Amen!
