Originally from Chicago, I made my way to Houston many years ago to begin teaching and escape the cold weather. Since the early 2000’s, my husband and I have called many places home, including Mobile, Lumberton, Qatar, and now Boerne. I’ve been fortunate to teach in many different places, including overseas, and have had the unique opportunity to teach alongside many amazing educators. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University and a Master's in Educational Management with Principal Certification from the University of Houston.
As our family grew, I took a break from the classroom and became a stay-at-home mom. Working with my children in their earliest years made me fall in love with early childhood education. I have three children, and we are always on the run. As my children got older, my heart began tugging me back into the classroom, and Messiah’s Kids became the perfect place.
Being the director of this exceptional school allows me to continue to build relationships with our families. I am also privileged to lead this amazing group of teachers to provide exceptional early learning opportunities to our community. The best part is that we get to do all of this through the direct ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church. Leading our families and students through parenting and childhood with the grace of the Lord's love is an awesome opportunity that we cherish every day at Messiah's Kids.
In my free time, you will find me loving on my sweet Cocker Spaniel, Molly.
